Photographs of Veterans are needed for the upcoming Veterans Appreciation Community Luncheon Thursday, Nov. 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Enterprise Civic Center.

A portion of the program will include a slideshow tribute to area veterans. Good quality digital submissions are due to Kay Kirkland, Special Projects Coordinator for the City of Enterprise, at kkirkland@enterpriseal.gov by noon Thursday, Nov. 2. Please include with the photo your veteran’s full name, rank upon retiring, branch of service and years of service.

“This is an opportunity to have your veterans be part of our ceremony,” City of Enterprise Special Projects Coordinator Kay Kirkland said. “We have so many brave men and women in our community who chose to serve our country, and this is just one small way we can show our thanks for their service.”

Luncheon tickets are still available for the event at $20 per person or $160 for a table of 8.

The community luncheon is hosted by local Veterans Service Organizations, with support of the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce Military & Veterans Affairs Committee and the City of Enterprise.

The “Veteran of the Year” and “Active Service Member of the Year” award winners will be announced at the luncheon.  Nominations are being accepted through Friday, Oct. 27.  Applications can be found on the Chamber’s website or picked up in the Mayor’s Office at Enterprise City Hall.  Nominees should set a positive example and reflect well upon military values such as selfless service, honor and integrity. Completed nomination forms should be emailed to Kay Kirkland, Special Projects Coordinator for the City of Enterprise, at kkirkland@enterpriseal.gov or mailed to P.O.
