- Anyone interested in playing Dixie Youth Baseball or Softball must live within specific boundaries by the governing body.
- Anyone interested in playing Youth Football or Cheerleading must live in an area that is zoned to attend Enterprise High School. These boundaries are maintained by the Coffee County Board of Education.
- All other services offered by the department are open to the general public, though a reservation fee may be charged to non-residents
The Environmental Fee is applied to both new and existing customers who utilize the City of Enterprise's sanitary sewer system. The revenues obtained from the above-instituted, Environmental Fee shall be used only for matters related to the City's wastewater collection, treatment and disposal system and for the upgrading, maintenance, materials, labor, equipment and supplies to keep said system in compliance with applicable rules, regulations and mandates.
Residential Fees
Due to new mandates placed on the City of Enterprise's sanitary sewer system by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM), the City will be adding a monthly flat fee on all Residential households utilizing the City's sanitary sewer system. This fee does not apply to Residential households on a septic sanitary system. The applicable fee will be identified on the monthly water bill as a Sewer Environmental Fee to be effective on January 1, 2006. The Sewer Environmental Fee will increase yearly through 2009, for a period of four years, as follows:
Commercial Fees
For Commercial customers utilizing the City's sanitary sewer system, a Sewer Environmental Fee will be added as a result of the new ADEM mandates placed on the City of Enterprise. The applicable fee will be identified on the monthly water bill as a Sewer Environmental Fee to be effective on January 1, 2006. The Environmental Fee will be assessed per 200 gallons water used with a minimum fee. The Sewer Environmental Fee will increase yearly through 2009, for a period of four years and scheduled as follows:
Residential Fees

- January 2008: $0.134 per 200 gallons water used with a minimum fee of $8.75
- January 2009: $0.16 per 200 gallons water used with a minimum fee of $10.50
Engineering
Building permits must be picked up in person at the Engineering Department office located in City Hall. Permits will only be issued to property owners or properly licensed contractors. Please contact our office at 334-348-2673 for any questions regarding permitting.

No. The City of Enterprise does not require permits for yard sales.
Property records are kept in the Revenue Commissioner's Office at the Coffee County Courthouse. They can be reached by calling 334-347-8734 or visiting the courthouse located at 99 Edwards Street.

Fire Department
Yes, to set up an appointment for smoke detector installation, contact Kelli at 334-348-2641 during business hours. Normal business hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
We recommend that you change the batteries in your smoke detectors twice a year. The easiest way to remember is to change them when Daylight Savings Time begins and ends.
If the sirens activate due to severe weather, tune to your local television or radio station to learn the specifics of the emergency. Please do not call our emergency switchboard (911) unless you have an emergency.

The Enterprise Department of Public Works will dispose of your large appliances. However, you will need to call (334) 348-2662 or 2665 to schedule the pickup.
Please call or stop by the City of Enterprise Engineering Department where a representative can access the official zoning maps to determine how your property may be used under the current zoning ordinances.
If your business is based inside the Enterprise City Limits or Police Jurisdiction, you will need to purchase a business license by visiting the City of Enterprise Revenue Department.
You will need to fill out an application online on the City of Enterprise website at www.enterpriseal.gov, or stop by the Water Department inside City Hall, 501 S. MainStreet to fill out the forms in person. You will need proof of ownership, driver’s license, and be prepared to pay the $35 hookup fee for residential or $100 for commercial service.
Yes. You will need to fill out a bank draft form and attach a voided check. Submit it to the Water Department inside City Hall and your bank draft account will be set up.

Municipal Court
All court dates, plea, trials, and reviews are held at 1:00 p.m. at the Enterprise Civic Center (2401 Neal Metcalf Road) until further notice.
Driving school is a privilege granted by the Municipal Judge in certain traffic violations. A person must not have had a citation within the previous 12 months and must appear before the Judge to request the privilege.
You will sign a Deferred Prosecution agreement. A $100 fee will be charged.
You will attend an in-person driving class (4 hours for regular class and 6 hours for advanced class). Class cost may vary.
Upon completion, return your certificate to the Magistrate's Office located at 501 S. Main Street along with you $100 Deferred Fee. The cast will be dismissed.
In the event of two traffic violations, a separate Deferred Fee will be assessed. Example: Two citations, $100 each citation.

A youthful offender status is an option for defendants under the age of 21.
The Enterprise Municipal Court only handles traffic violations and misdemeanor arrests.
Court sessions are held every Monday at 1 p.m. (except for holidays) at the Enterprise Civic Center. This is a plea day. If you plead not guilty, you will be given a trial date before you leave.
Trials are set on the first and third Thursday of each month. There is one show cause date for review of fines/court referral status held the first Wednesday of each month.

All bonds are $500 unless otherwise noted. Bonds are to be paid in cash at the Magistrate's Office in Enterprise City Hall or by going through one of the approved bonding companies in Coffee County, if applicable.
You need to contact the Magistrate's Office the next day to ensure they have your correct address on file. A 'Failure to Appear Notice' will be mailed to that address with a new court date. If you fail to appear on that date, a warrant will be issued for your arrest and a $500 cash bond will apply.

Police
Reports are available for pickup in the Detective Division, located in the front hallway of City Hall. Reports cost $3 and you must have your photo identification to sign for a report. The police department accepts cash, local check, or money order. If you do not live near Enterprise, you may request a copy of your report by mail. You will need to send a written and signed request for your report, a copy of your photo identification, and a self-addressed and stamped envelope to:

Criminal reports can only be picked up by the victim listed on the report, an individual who has legal power of attorney over the victim, or the complainant listed on the report. Accident reports are public record and may be picked up by anyone.
Criminal reports are usually ready the next day; however, officers have up to 3 business days from the occurrence of the incident or offense to file a criminal report. Accident reports are usually ready within three days of the accident; however, officers have up to 14 days to file an accident report.
If you believe your report is incorrect, you should speak with either the officer who filed the report or with his or her supervisor.
The patrol clerk or any police officer can take your fingerprints in the Patrol Division. You must bring your own fingerprint cards. Cost for fingerprinting is $3; the police department accepts cash, local check, or money order.
Questions or complaints regarding crossing guards are handled by the Patrol Clerk or the Patrol Captain.
The City of Enterprise only performs local background checks. Local background checks are performed by the Enterprise Municipal Court.

Water Department
The water line running from the meter to a house or business belongs to the owner; therefore, it is the owner's responsibility to repair the leak. If the leak is at the meter box please call the Water Works at 334-347-1211 so someone can be dispatched to determine who is responsible for repairing the leak.
Yes, there are two night deposit boxes. Both boxes are recessed into the walls. One box is located on the front side of the building, facing Main Street, on the left side under the covered walkway nearest to the Water Department Office and is labeled "Water Payment Drop". The second box is located on the backside of the building and is labeled "Night Depository - Payments" and has envelopes available for use.
