Mayor issues Pilot International proclamation

October 16,2023

Mayor William E. Cooper, surrounded by members of the Luncheon Pilot Club of Enterprise, proclaimed Wednesday, Oct. 18 as “Pilot International and Pilot International Founders Fund Day” in the City of Enterprise.

“Pilot Club members internationally continue to make a difference in their communities as they work toward their vision of a world where all are valued,” Mayor Cooper said. “From the very beginning, Pilot International has placed an emphasis on community service and we are appreciative of what that do to give back to our great city.”

Here in Enterprise, the Pilots teach students ways to prevent brain injuries through Brain Minders skits, host a Christmas party for special needs students, collect and distribute non-perishable food items and hygiene and paper products to retirement homes, and sponsor attendees for Alabama Special Camp for Children and Adults and Traumatic Brain Injury Camp.

Pilot International was originally designed as a volunteer service organization for business and professional women in Macon, Georgia. It has since grown to include men and women from around the world and from all walks of life.

Cooper encouraged Enterprise residents to actively support and take pride in the worthwhile efforts of the international service organization.
