The City of Enterprise is once again hosting the quarterly meeting of the Fort Novosel-Wiregrass Chapter of the Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA) meeting on Thursday, April11, and the community is invited to attend.

United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence and Fort Novosel Commanding General Maj. Gen. Michael McCurry will be the guest speaker.

Business owners and associates, civic club members, church leaders, and local residents are invited to attend the event, which starts at 11:30 a.m. at the Enterprise Civic Center.

 “I want to encourage the community to come together for this annual event and to hear from Maj. Gen. McCurry about the state of our military, especially here in the Wiregrass,” Mayor William E. Cooper said. “This is a wonderful opportunity for businesses to honor their veterans by bringing them to this luncheon.”

AUSA is an advocate for Fort Novosel and for soldiers and their families. Cooper reminded that soldiers are always honored guests at the luncheon, and he especially appreciates the businesses and individuals who purchase tables for the luncheon to provide seating not only for their employees and friends, but for soldiers and veterans.
