March 11,2024

Mayor William E. Cooper is reminding and encouraging the citizens of Enterprise to participate in the OSCAR Club’s 7th annual Day of Service this Saturday.

The OSCAR Club, which is an acronym for Outstanding Services Contributed And Recognized, was organized in January 1968, and aims to serve the city and organizations for the betterment of the community.

“We want everyone to come out to Bates Memorial Stadium at 8 a.m. Saturday for the kickoff and then go out in our city and show off your ‘Enterpride,’” Mayor Cooper said. “Youth groups, civic groups, church groups, families and friends, get together and take on a task that will benefit our community.”

Two dumpsters will be placed in the lot next to Enterprise City Hall for residents to utilize to dispose of debris.  Wet paint, tires, roof shingles and food waste will not be accepted. Public Works employees will be on site to ensure that only appropriate items are disposed.
