Past due business license reminder: Renew now to avoid additional penalties

March 07,2024

The City of Enterprise Revenue Department is encouraging business owners who may have missed the February 15 deadline to renew their business licenses sooner rather than later to avoid additional penalties.

“We have roughly one thousand business owners who still need to renew before March 15 or the late fees will go up again,” Chief Revenue Officer Laura Miller said. “Business owners should have received a second notice in the mail reminding them of the process to renew.”

Miller said that late fees apply to both the license fee and issuance fee.

An Enterprise business license is required for anyone or any business conducting any type of business, trade, profession, or home occupation within the city limits and/or police jurisdiction of Enterprise. This includes making repairs, contracting, selling, providing any type of service or being a vendor at a special event.

Business owners were encouraged to renew by mail due to the ongoing construction at Enterprise City Hall. Renewals postmarked by February 15 will not incur any late fees.
