Mayor William E. Cooper Thursday declared January as “Human Trafficking Awareness Month” in Enterprise.

With members of the Enterprise Police Department looking on, Mayor Cooper said the City of Enterprise is committed to protecting and assisting victims.

“We must work together to ensure our community is aware of the problem and to recognize how to spot it,” Cooper said. “We must all work together to combat this deplorable crime.”

Cooper challenged citizens to observe the month with programs and activities aimed at preventing human trafficking.
