July 09,2024

Jon Ed Steed and the Coffee County Queens were recognized by Mayor William E. Cooper and members of the Enterprise City Council at the July 2 meeting.

Steed, a rising senior at Enterprise High School, was recognized as the runner-up for the 2024 AHSA 7A State Golf Tournament. He finished the season with a 71.6 stroke average over 270 holes and is number 47 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings. He is a verbal commit to Vanderbilt University, one of the top golf programs in the country.

Mayor Cooper then recognized the Coffee County Queens one by one: Miss Coffee County Madi Rae Hudson, Teen Miss Coffee County Shaylee Johnson, Junior Miss Coffee County Ryleigh Marler, Petite Miss Coffee County Madison Rascoe, Little Miss Coffee County Caralee Linton, and Future Little Miss Coffee County Rosemary Walters.

“All of these young people are role models in our community,” Mayor Cooper said. “From success on the golf course, to being active in other sports like cheerleading and dance, and giving back to their community, these youth are setting fine examples for others in Enterprise. We are proud of their success and happy to have them represent our great city.”

Mayor Cooper presented each with a Certificate of Achievement.
