Christmas in July: Vendor applications now being accepted for Whoville Celebration

July 01,2024

Vendor applications are now open for the highly anticipated Whoville Celebration to be held Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Enterprise.

“We are using a new system this year, and vendors will apply through the city’s RecDesk program,” Main Street Executive Director Mariah Montgomery said. “We are trying to be selective in order to provide the best experience for customers and vendors alike.”

All applications must be submitted electronically, and no payment will be required until the vendor is chosen to participate. Vendor spaces range from $100-$200, depending on the location at the Whoville Celebration.  All vendors must have an active Enterprise business license.

“Vendor spaces are very limited, which is why we want to have a variety of arts & crafts, retail, and other vendors lining the streets for everyone to enjoy.”

Montgomery said food vendors will be set up in a food court on Sessions Field.

“Just like at Spring Festival at the Monument, no generators will be allowed on Main Street. We had positive feedback from participants that this made the event that much more enjoyable, so we will continue to do so.”

Vendor fees help to pay for some of the cost of the event.

“We are excited to offer free face painting for Whoville this year, as well as continue to offer several free activities for children to enjoy like train rides and inflatables.”

The Who Look-A-Like Contest and Max’s Pet Costume Contest will also return for 2024 and are free to enter. Prizes will be awarded for select winners.

Other entertainment will also be featured during the event, which is expected to draw more than 10,000 people to the downtown district. Pictures with the Grinch and a monument photo opportunity will also be available.
