Speaking to the National Active and Retired Federal Employees chapter Jan. 23, Mayor Cooper gave an update on the recent news and projects within the City of Enterprise.

He discussed the recent announcement by the Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs that its Board of Directors chose Enterprise as the home of a new VA Home, which will be constructed and opened by 2023. The Mayor said the project will bring a substantial investments initial investment and a number of jobs into the community, and will continue to make an impact for many years to come. Once it is opened, research indicates, the 175-bed facility will generate about $19 million a year in the local economy.

The Mayor also discussed airport improvements and other city projects.
