Boll Weevil Soap Company Retailer of the Year award presentation

Boll Weevil Soap Company Wednesday was recognized as the Alabama Retail Association’s Gold level award winner in the annual sales less than $1 million category.

Owners Chad and Kendra Wester were presented the award by Rick Brown, President of the Alabama Retail Association, at the store’s location in Downtown Enterprise.

“What the Retailer of the Year judges liked about Boll Weevil Soap Company is the uniqueness of the products that are made and sold here and they also loved how the company is all in for Enterprise,” Alabama Retail Association Director of Public Relations Nancy Dennis said.

“Boll Weevil Soap Company serves as a model for what we want Main Street Enterprise to be: a network of business owners supporting each other and our community,” Mariah Montgomery, Executive Director of Main Street Enterprise, said. “We are extremely proud of Chad and Kendra and appreciate all they do for the City of Enterprise.”

The Alabama Retailer of the Year awards, started in 1999, honor retailers who have demonstrated growth, innovation and a commitment to their respective communities.  This year’s winners were selected from 42 entries submitted from a pool of 55 nominees.
